Ofta hör man en uppfattning om att Bibeln och Koranen är lika vad gäller vem Gud är, och att det bara beror på hur man tolkar skrifterna som har betydelse. Visst kan man tolka olika, men om man väljer att betona vissa skriftställen mer än andra, så har det ju ändå betydelse vilka skriftställen som överhuvudtaget finns nedskrivna att lyfta fram och grunda sin tolkning på.
